Are you planning a family camping trip? You’ll need family camping tents to protect you from the weather. What should you look for in a good family camping tent? You want a solid frame and secure ties. You’ll want solid material that keeps out the rain and protects you from leaves and branches. You’ll also want a good door whether zipper or flap to keep wildlife out of your tent. Canopy Mart is a fine example of a reputable company from which to buy family camping tents.
Camping can be a fun experience for your family. Cooking out over a fire in front of your tent gives a rustic feel. Being close to nature gives children a lot of examples of flora and fauna to see up close and personal. Finding bugs and seeing animals like deer and chipmunks are fun for kids. Just make sure they don’t get up close and personal with poison ivy. Leaves of three, let them be. Fishing can also be fun, especially if you cook your catch for dinner that night.
The size tent you’ll need depends on the size of your family. It may be better to get several two-person tents rather than one big tent for everyone. This makes it easier to put up the tents and offers privacy for adults and teenagers. The question of cots or sleeping bags is a matter of preference. Cots take up more room but are usually more comfortable in which to sleep. Sleeping bags are easily portable but you need to make sure that you have put up your tent on a comfortable piece of land to avoid sleeping on rocks.
The other thing you want to look for in a camping tent is ease of set up. You want something that will protect you but not frustrate you with complicated assembly. This is another example of why several smaller tents may be easier than one big tent unless you can find a big tent that goes up easily.
Camping is fun for the entire family. It allows for quality time with the kids. It can also be romantic for just two people to disconnect from the technical world and experience a simpler time.
